Local mom (and area probation officer) Leslie Clothier has founded a nonprofit called the Ellie Jean Project in honor of her 3-year-old daughter, who has cerebral palsy. Her goal is to raise $200,000 for an all-inclusive playground at Rassie Wicker Park that would allow disabled children, including those in wheelchairs, to play alongside able-bodied peers. “This is not just for disabled kids,” she says. “All kids will love to play there.”
