Taqueria La Mexicana has replaced its second food truck with a brick-and-mortar location. You can now find them at 135 MacDougall Drive in West End — the former home of 7 Central Bistro, which closed in February.

You won’t find guac, bottomless chip baskets or piñata-shaped salt and pepper shakers, but you will find everything from tacos to sincronizadas and chilaquiles, featuring steak, chicken or lengua (aka cow tongue).

And with $8 burritos the size of your face, you can pretty much feed your family of four for $20.

Eat inside or get your food through the takeout window from 10-7 on Mondays and 10-8 Tuesday-Saturday — or find the O.G. truck at 984 Old U.S. 1 in Southern Pines, from 10-3 Monday through Saturday.

Both the restaurant and food truck are owned by Christian and Javier Gonzales. The Gonzales family also owns La Mexicana Market in Southern Pines.
