Saturday and Sunday: The Moore County Kennel Club hosts hundreds of dogs and their humans for its annual dog show at the Pinehurst Harness Track Polo Field. Spectators are welcome and concessions are on site. Entry is $5 per car, per day. Find a schedule by breed here.

Friday, 6-8: Craig Crawford, an art conservator who worked at The Smithsonian and now owns his own practice, presents works from his collection, Southern Gothic, at the Arts Council of Moore County. The exhibit runs until May 25. Info
Get Your Head Up in the Clouds
Saturday, 9 to noon: Kids age 8 to 17 can take a free plane ride at the Moore County Airport, courtesy of the Young Eagles program. There will also be a skydiving demonstration, food courtesy of a Boy Scout troop (read: hotdogs), and entertainment. Info
Wiggle Into Your Pencil Skirt
Saturday, 2-9: Railhouse Brewery hosts a 1950s-themed block party with a classic car drive-in, barbecue catered by Blackstone Smokehouse, crafts by The Bull Room and Aberdeen Bead and Brushes, music by Rob Matthews, a homebrewing demo by the Southern Hopheads, and the unveiling of the brewery’s new Mexican-style lager. Crowd Into a Big-Top Tent
Saturday, 4 p.m.: The Zerbini Family Circus makes a stop in Carthage for an old-school act with acrobats, clowns and animals. The family, based in Myakka City, Florida, tours the Southeast for 10 months out of the year. Two kids get in free with each paying adult ($15). Coupon here.
