ICYM our Jan. 9 newsletter: After an extensive renovation, Conner Smith has opened Seven 27 Lounge — a new spot for cocktails, fine dining and late night bites in the former home of Theo’s Taverna.
He’s partnered with Meg Church @nutmegskitchen, who has created the menus and her own team for her first commercial kitchen. Visit from 11-11 Tuesday through Thursday and 11 a.m. until midnight on Friday and Saturday.

ICYMI: The building that formerly housed Southern Pines Escape is undergoing a transformation to become Process Cycling, an indoor cycle studio. Kelsey Diesing and Mel Flynn have been cycle instructors since 2018 and recently partnered with cycle enthusiast Ameeta Swaby to open the studio. “Think party on a bike,” says Kelsey.
