Cookie Counter Coming Soon

The Jefferson Inn is adding a counter that’ll house the satellite location of a Sanford-based bakery — one we just so happened to visit last year. Millie’s Mama Bakes is known for its quarter-pound cookies, and you’ll soon be able to browse those in six rotating flavors each week plus macarons, cinnamon rolls, brownies and more. Fresh goods will be driven from Sanford each morning. 

Bakery owner Jessica Nelson has been wanting to expand to Southern Pines for some time. “We have so many that come from Moore County, so we’re excited to give those people easier access to our stuff,” says Jessica. The counter should be open in May and you’ll be able to stop in Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
