If you want an Instagrammable outdoor party but aren’t in tents enough to sleep in a bag, Glamp-Cation has a fresh pitch for a good time. This new local business will bring everything you need for a night under the stars on a memory-foam mattress right to your backyard.
Owner Anna Marks hasn’t been camping since she was in the Army (a far cry from glamping) but was looking for something to do now that her kids are old enough to not need her every second of every day. She saw Glamp-Cation listed for sale as a turn-key business on Facebook Marketplace and purchased it from its owner, a Raleigh mom, in March.
“I thought it would be a fun thing to do, and a good opportunity for a business where I could create my own schedule,” she says. “I hadn’t seen anything like this in the pines, and it’s something that would be fun for anybody.”
Glamp-Cation’s services include the 10-foot tall tent that sleeps six, plus outdoor lights, indoor lanterns, rugs, pillows and bedding. Customers can request add-ons like a ground-level picnic table with cushions, a wireless projector with screen, outdoor games, or even a small a/c unit. If you’re a lover of the great indoors, Anna can do “tiny tent” setups for living room sleepovers, too.
