 In HearSway, SwaySnacks & Sips

Early this year, longtime restaurateur Maria Rivera decided she wanted to serve an earlier crowd. So, she sold Maria’s Mexican Restaurant in Olmsted Village and later purchased Tina’s Breakfast and More by Sandhills Bowling Center – renaming it Maria’s Brunch & More and giving the menu a Latin twist.

Tina’s Breakfast & More never completely closed, but has undergone some transformation in the switch over to the new ownership — Maria and daughters Monica Maya and Biatris Maya (not pictured) have been hard at work to pick menu items and update the decor.

Maria herself has been in the restaurant business for 30 years. She got her start in a family restaurant alongside her dad.

Biatris thinks the chilaquiles “will be very popular,” but you’ll also find huevos rancheros, biscuits and gravy, spinach and egg quesadillas, breakfast burritos and milkshakes, floats and homemade vanilla pudding. Light cocktails, spiked limeades and mimosas are coming to the menu as well.
