Moore County is no longer home to the biggest Harris Teeter in the country (sob) but it can now lay claim to the biggest Ace Hardware in the country. It’s called Provision Ace Hardware, it’s 72,000 square feet, and it’s now open near the Airport Traffic Circle.
You’ll find a 10,000-square-foot lumber yard, plus toys, clothing and seasonal items. A wine and beer bar is in the works, as are more local products and a selection of meats like Wagyu, alligator, kangaroo, ostrich and more.
“The ability to offer more products to our customers in a more shopper-friendly environment means a lot,” says owner Randy Saunders. “A lot of thought with this building was made to benefit the staff” — like vinyl flooring with a bit of cushion, rather than concrete, to make it easier on the knees of employees. The aisles are also very wide to be more accessible.
