Shady Maple Farm is bringing flowers by the busload. Owner Jennifer Maples now has a flower bus. “I used to have the flower stand at Red’s Corner and I would see all these trucks and I just wanted to be mobile,” she says. The bus will help her attend more markets, make transport easier and she can even do private parties.

The bus itself is still a work in progress, with logos and more customization to come. Jennifer’s brother found her the bus around a year ago and she’s been slowly adding to it ever since. “The biggest thing is not having to try to fit all the flowers in my car, I can bring so much more now,” says Jennifer. The bus is also helpful for rainy days.

The inside of the bus sports a vintage charm with recovered theater seats, vintage tables and more all from the Carthage vintiques shop: Eliza Quinn. Shop owner Erin Rembert helped her with the whole decor concept. “She’s amazing,” says Jennifer.

Jennifer no longer has a flower stand at Red’s Corner, she does still have one at her farm but there are no set hours since she’s always on the move. You can expect to see the bus at the Thursday Farmers Market in Southern Pines at the Armory, Friday at the Carthage Farmers Market and Saturday at the downtown Southern Pines Farmers Market. She also hopes to add the Wednesday Pinehurst Market when that season begins.
