In 2019, Katrin Franklin opened Piggy + Co. in downtown Southern Pines as an extension of her Pinehurst brand, Bump & Baby. This month, she’s closing the Broad Street shop and bringing her operation to her entrepreneurial home in the village.
“We are definitely sad to leave Harbour Place,” she said. “The family has been incredible to us and having the opportunity to do so many community events was really special. But at the end of the day, I just can’t manage two shops well and I was missing aspects of my Pinehurst life and the deep fellowship and friends I have found there.”
Piggy + Co. will be open for limited hours through January as the space transitions to a new business’ first first brick and mortar home — Thistle & Moon. Read more on that here.
