After talking about it for three hours on Thursday night, the Southern Pines planning board recommended the town deny an 800-student facility on Camp Easter Road, citing traffic as the main concern. It’s the second attempt by the school board to locate a campus in the area.
So what’s public consensus? At least on this post, it’s that the location is a dumb idea — especially to alleviate crowding at Vass-Lakeview and Farm Life.
