Libraries Make Shhh Happen

And the Friends of the Aberdeen Library group is moving forward in turning an empty building on North Pine Street into the town library’s new home. It will be a long-overdue upgrade from the well-loved Page Memorial Library, which is only 960 square feet.

The Friends bought the land in 2018, and have since bookmarked more than $100,000 for the project. The town has invested around $200,000. Work will include renovating the windows, removing interior walls, repainting the brick and making general repairs. A timeline for this novel project has not been set.
