Here’s Something to Taco ‘Bout
Davenport’s Galaxy, downtown Aberdeen’s grocery store, is now home to Tacos Galaxy. The quick-service counter has become a staple of the shop, serving up tacos, quesadillas, burritos and tortas.
The most popular item are the quesabirrias — a cross between a taco and a quesadilla with birria-style beef — and you’ll also find fusion recipes, like ramen birria.
Owner Sergio Armando opened the counter for lunch and dinner on Dec. 8. He even added a gringo menu, with items like cheeseburgers and fries, for those with the gene that makes cilantro taste like soap.
Tacos Galaxy has a Facebook group, rather than a page, where members rave about the menu. For more food photos, join it here.
Want to visit? Find it at 177 N Sycamore St. in Aberdeen, from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. It’s cash only so bring some dough.
