If you’ve been following along, you know Moore County Schools have been dealt a series of blows surrounding new school construction. The board’s latest request is that commissioners provide an immediate $30.8 million to fund an elementary school that would be able to serve Whispering Pines, Vass and part of Southern Pines by 2019; and allow voters to decide on a $142.7 million bond for additional facilities.
