Watching a local business grow to its full potential? Now that’s the Pine Life. After years of holding pop-ups and selling goods in other local shops, the local brand finally has a home of its own at Olmsted Village.

“It’s been a long time coming, but it’s been a fun journey,” says owner Stephanie Czekalski, who founded the brand in 2017 with a mission to honor the area while helping reforest areas devastated by wildfire. So far, Pine Lifehas contributed to planting 3,000 trees as part of its partnership with One Tree Planted.

When Stephanie saw this spot, she had to put a (tree) ring on it. The shop carries apparel and more for the outdoor enthusiast, like sustainably sourced furniture from Carolina Heartwood and items from our national parks.

“I love the location,” she says. “Olmsted Village is really being built up.” Because Stephanie is excited to have more face time with customers you won’t find Pine Life anywhere else, with the exception of a few select items at Against the Grain in downtown Southern Pines.

“One time a lady told me ‘you created a Moore County Uniform,’ and I think that’s the coolest compliment I’ve ever gotten,” says Stephanie.

You can expect to see a grand opening celebration in mid Sep-timber, and look out for kid’s craft nights once a month led by Stephanie’s daughter, Kinley, whom she calls her company’s “vice president.” The shop is located in Olmsted Village, 211 Central Park Ave., Pinehurst, near Scrollicious. Shop 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
