Don’t care about free music and kids activities? Hate fun? Fine. Skip the Heritage Flag Block Party this Sunday, but don’t miss your chance to win a one-of-a-kind flag and help support service members. Raffle proceeds will benefit Military Missions in Action — a nonprofit that provides home modifications for disabled veterans; supplies active-duty military with comforts from home; and connects homeless vets with goods and services. Here’s a look at what you could win:
:: The Old Glory Double Barrel. It’s the biggest Heritage Flag yet, at over six feet wide, and retails for more than $2,000. The star field has a slight blue tint that really shines in certain light.
:: The Old Glory Betsy Ross Double Barrel. This 75″ X 39″ flag pays tribute to America’s first flag; and it’s the first of its kind ever produced.
:: The 9/11 Commemorative Double Barrel. Two stars in this 75″ X 39″ flag will be crafted from steel recovered from Ground Zero by two NYC firefighters — steel that since June, has been traveling with a Special Forces team to combat zones around the globe. The winner of this flag will meet the team when they return late this month, and help reshape the metal into its final shape.
