Shake Your Butt, Save Some Boobs

Friday, Oct. 26, 5:30-9: Pull a pink tutu on over those leggings and join Forte Fitness for their third annual charity Dance*Fit For the Cure at the Fair Barn. Tickets are $30 — $60 for VIP — and 100 PERCENT of proceeds go toward breast cancer care and prevention efforts of the Moore Free and Charitable Clinic. Complementary childcare will be provided by Play Escape.

Celebrate a Local Legend

Friday, 11 a.m.: Pay tribute to that one guy who loved to eat his smelly lunch of sardines, moon pies, and RC cola at Aberdeen Park by eating the same meal in his honor. The food is free, for obvious reasons. Get to the park early for a front-row seat to the crowning of the Sardine Queen. What a time to be alive.

Get Loud and Lively

Friday, 5:30-9:30 p.m.: Live After Five brings The Groove Motive to Tufts Park for the last installment of its concert series. The World Kitchen and What’s Fore Lunch bring the snacks. Info.

Friday, 9-midnight: McKenzies Mill performs a benefit show at O’D’s, with proceeds going to a friend of the band who has heart defects. It’s $5.

Get Dusty

Saturday, 9-4: The Shaw House holds its annual Vintage Fair, with live music, food and demonstrations, and a plethora of antiques. Dig for treasure.

Find Platform 9 3/4

Saturday, 10-2: Grab your broom and fly to Aberdeen’s second annual Harry Potter-themed fall event. Get a butterbeer at Railhouse Brewery or an Italian soda in the color of your favorite Hogwarts House at High Octane, choose a wand at This Little Piggy, and conjure up some fun DIY projects and deals on decor. Get up to no good.
