The Piedmont Chapter of JDRF is celebrating the addition of Moore County to its territory by holding a two-day Tennis to Tent to Tee fundraiser that’ll take you from the court, to a backyard party and back to the course.
Sunday, Nov. 4, 11:30-4: Head to Pinehurst Resort, where doubles teams will play several matches during a round-robin tournament ($50 per player); while kids can participate in clinics ($10/hr).
Sunday, Nov. 4, 5:30-7:30: Enjoy an oyster roast, barbecue, silent auction and entertainment at the home of Steve and Betsy Saye, whose son Stephen has diabetes. Tickets are $25 each.
Monday, Nov. 5, 10-4:30: Join a golf tournament at CCNC, starting with a 10 a.m. brunch. Cost is $350 per person or $1,400 for a foursome.
