A Toast to Those Who Gave All
This Thursday, May 23, Hatchet Brewing Co. and Southern Pines CrossFit will team up in honor of Memorial Day. A new brew will be released, and SPCF will host the first of its annual MURPH workouts in the brewery’s parking lot.
“Tribute: a Golden Memorial Ale,” will be available on draft or in cans. A portion of the proceeds from this beer and MURPH registrations will be donated to the nonprofit Gold Star Teen Adventures. “It all came together very organically,” said Hatchet owner Greg Walker.
- Heats for SPCF’s MURPH will start in Hatchet’s parking lot at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. A toast and speech will commence at Hatchet at 7 p.m. Register here.
Participants can cool down with Hatchet’s new Hop Water, a nonalcoholic carbonated drink they’ll have on tap. “The hops make it citrusy. Think of it like an aromatic seltzer water,” says Greg.
