There’s new plans for this old kitchen. Some of you may remember the seafood restaurant, Mama’s Kitchen, that once called this Vass building home. While the building has sat vacant for years and is partially boarded up, there’s nothing fishy going on. It will soon be dishing out food once again thanks to none other than Betsy Markey, from Betsy’s Crepes.
Betsy and her dad used to go to Mama’s Kitchen when she was a young girl and she bought the building some time ago for the memories. “It’s going to be home cooking,” she says. “I want it to be almost a masculine version of Betsy’s.” There is no timeline yet, but she did tell us construction should be starting soon.
