You get it. Early this year, Rooted Cafe & Market founders Darcy Denney and Heidi Templin added a third parter, Mackenzie Bhola.
All three are focused on growth — starting with a move from the first floor of Hot Asana to the Belvedere Plaza in Southern Pines.
“When we initially dreamed up the idea of Rooted, we were a sit-down restaurant, but because of COVID we had to shrink our dreams down a bit to allow them to come to fruition,” Darcy says. “We are so grateful for our space at Hot Asana. It helped us to get our name out there, but it’s time to expand.”
The owners of the Belvedere Plaza space are fully renovating the bar area, kitchen, and flooring. The Rooted Cafe & Market team is brightening up the dark color scheme with vivid colors and fun wallpaper. Plans include a full bar with craft cocktails and espresso drinks, plus special events and more.
“It’s super exciting and a little overwhelming, but mostly we feel blessed for this opportunity to grow and for the support we’ve received from the community so far,” Darcy says. An opening date has not been set, but Rooted newsletter subscribers will get updates first. Sign up here.
