Wednesday, 7 p.m. The Southern Pines Town Council will hear public input on a proposed 800-student elementary school on Camp Easter Road. It’s included in a project called the Knollwood Tract, which also includes a 100-lot subdivision. The school would serve students in Southern Pines and ease crowding at Vass-Lakeview and Sandhills Farm Life. Approval (or denial) of this campus will have a significant impact in Moore County Schools’ construction timeline. The meeting is at the Douglass Community Center. More from ThePilot here.
