Now there’s Hammer & Stain, a DIY-workshop where you’ll complete all those Pinterest crafts you were too scared to tackle on your own. Bring your beer or wine and plug in a power tool — what could go wrong?

Hammer & Stain’s first event is set for Feb. 9. Watch their Facebook page for workshops ranging from throw pillows to corn hole boards and side tables. Projects currently listed range from $35 to $75.

“Supporting local businesses is very important to me and looking at the different options to have my studio, I knew this was the area that I wanted to be,” says owner Laura Thomas. “The support and energy from the community is great here.”

It’s the second North Carolina location for the franchise, and one of the growing number of DIY spaces in Moore County. Check out our full list.
