Meditation Time, C’mon!

It’s time to celebrate because the Grand Opening of Exault in downtown Aberdeen was Sunday, Jan. 30. This flexible new business holds a lot within its walls. Exault has yoga classes, a hair salon, a small boutique and various workshops.

Owner Jamie Mann

Owner Jamie Mann began practicing yoga at 19 and has carried that passion ever since. When she heard about the former studio, Indigo, closing she said she felt “called to it.” Jamie also previously owned Hair Affair Studio in Southern Pines so when she decided to move into the studio in Aberdeen she chose to mix her passions and combine the two businesses.

The name Exault is a nod to the exalted warrior pose in yoga. The word exault to Jamie means, “to elevate, to rise up into your own power and become whole. Everything you need comes from within,” she says.

Jamie has big plans for the business to grow over time. Right now the yoga schedule is small but the goal is to have classes every day. In the spring she plans to have Astrology workshops. Every now and zen she wants to bring in more fringe classes such as tarot reading and metaphysical workshops. For now, you can find the schedule on their instagram or website. Hair salon services including precision hair cutting, color, keratin treatments and more, will be by appointment only.

The two-suite building was most recently operated by Heather McKeithen as Indigo Yoga & Healing Arts. While Exault will take over the studio side, Heather will focus on reiki, shamanic healing and private sound bath sessions in the suite next door.

Jamie says she’s, “excited to build a community. Covid has separated us all, and we need to start coming back together.”

Yoga classes are $15, you can book ahead or drop in. Hair service pricing will vary.
