:: 6:30-9 p.m.: At the Carolina Hotel, enjoy a fun & silly kids’ magic show with face painting and balloon animals, followed by an ice cream social, games and s’mores over the fire pit — and of course, an appearance from the Easter Bunny. $12 per child (ages 3-12). Info.
Saturday (April 20)
:: 9 a.m.: Dress up, wear your bonnet or fancy hat and get your photos taken with the Easter Bunny during breakfast at Lady Bedford’s Tea Parlour. $25. Info.
:: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Shop vendors, enjoy the zoo and hunt for eggs at the Aloha Safari Rescue Zoo. Info.
:: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: An Easter Egg Hunt and face-painting for the kids, plus demonstrations on early life in Moore County from blacksmiths and more. This is at the historic Bryant House, 3361 Mount Carmel Road in Carthage. Free. Info.
:: 10 a.m.: Downtown Aberdeen hosts an Easter Egg Hunt, with participating businesses hiding a large egg for kids to find and gifting them small, take-home eggs when they do. The Easter Bunny, and live rabbits and chicks, will be available for photos. Free. Info.
:: 10:30-noon: Easter Eggstravaganza at Malcolm Blue Farm in Aberdeen. Kids 9 and under can visit with the Easter Bunny, get their faces painted and hunt for eggs throughout the farm. Egg hunt begins at 10 a.m. Free. Info.
:: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Easter Egg Hunt at Cannon Park in Pinehurst. Younger kids will race to collect eggs in view, while older age groups will hunt for them along the trails. Visit with the Easter Bunny and enjoy family activities. Free. Info
:: 11 a.m. to noon: The Easter Bunny comes to Gulley’s, and an egg hunt for kids up to age 12 happens at 11:30. Info.
:: 12-2 p.m.: At the Carolina Hotel’s West Lawn, get in an Easter the kids will long remember — with a climbing wall, relay races, petting zoo and more. $20 per child (ages 3-15). Info.
:: 1 p.m.: Karefree Produce will have strawberry picking, egg decorating stations, a cookie decorating station, and games. Easter egg hunt for kids 10 & under starts at 1 p.m. The cost is $5. Info.
:: 1 p.m.: The Pinehurst Village Chapel hosts a community egg hunt, open to everyone, with food, games, eggs and prizes. Info.
:: 1 p.m.: Find painted Ostrich egg shells (they’re durable), and hundreds of plastic eggs at Misty Morning Farm in Robbins. You’ll get a tour of the farm and get to teach your kids about the circle of life with samples of ostrich burgers. Info.
:: 2-4 p.m.: Ages 1-10 can participate in an Easter Egg Hunt at the Rufus McLaughlin American Legion post 177, 1650 W. New York Ave. in Southern Pines. There will be prizes, face painting, games, food and crafts. This event is sponsored by Auxiliary Unit 177.

:: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Shop vendors, enjoy the zoo and hunt for eggs at the Aloha Safari Rescue Zoo. Info.
