Bell Tree Tavern owners Chase Hill and Dan Adams have opened the restaurant’s second location in the Country Club of Whispering Pines. The 8,000-square-foot space includes the restaurant, bar, banquet hall, patio and a grassy area where Chase says they plan to add fire pits and a music stage. He also wants to serve food at the nearby pool.

The Bell Tree Whispering Pines location has been renovated with an old-school vibe — dark wood, plaid walls and vintage art. The menu features pub staples like burgers and sandwiches, plus pasta and fish entrees created by chef Kim Folken.

In addition to opening a food truck and a new location since taking ownership of the Bell Tree Tavern brand last year, Chase and Dan also opened an events company called The Prospect House to oversee happenings at both Bell Tree Tavern locations. Renovations for the Southern Pines HQ are planned for next summer.

Chase and Dan Adams were both in Army Special Forces when they bought Bell Tree Tavern in February of last year. Chase is now settled into civilian life and enjoying his full-time job as a restaurant owner and businessman. “It’s pick what you want to do for the day and go try to accomplish it.”

The food and beverage industry is fast-paced but Chase says they try to keep a low-stress shop by focusing on delegating well. “Giving people tasks and then allowing them to accomplish them…rather than micromanaging or doing everything yourself. You just can’t do that. Especially when you’re in multiple locations. You have to find the right people you can trust…and it rolls from there.” See the hours, menu and more here.

Dan and Chase have a lot of projects in the works to bring a big city flavor to the Moore County area. We can’t confirm any specific details yet but Chase did mention something about a rooftop bar, so we’ll be there.

On Saturday, Feb. 24th from 4-10 p.m., celebrate the grand opening of the Bell Tree Whispering Pines and Chase and Dan’s first year as owners with food, drinks, live music and a silent auction benefiting Special Forces Charitable Trust, plus a bounce house and golf games. General admission is $10; VIP all-you-can-drink tickets are $75. Get ’em here.
