Grape Things Are Coming 

We knew this little corner in the Belevedere Plaza wouldn’t stay empty long. It’ll be the home of a new sip shop dubbed Santé, (that’s French for “cheers”) by Mary Schlaff, the owner of The Village Wine Shop and The Village Wine Shop Aberdeen. “It’ll be all the good things from the Village Wine Shop but with a Southern Pines twist,” she says.

Mary is making this third venture a slightly different concept, with the focus more on wine by the glass instead of bottle sales, since there are already two wine shops in town. There will also be small bites from chef Meg Church and coffee in the mornings. “I couldn’t believe the space was available. Southern Pines is such a great community and hopefully we can add to it,” says Mary. You can expect it to open mid summer.
