After nearly three years of growing a devoted following from Southern Pines to Seven Lakes and everywhere in between, Bianca Pellicione is ready to take Berri Bowlful to the next level.
Moore County’s first spot for ready made superfruits, Berri Bowlful rolled onto the scene in September 2017. This summer, the truck will expand into a brick-and-mortar location on Pennsylvania Avenue in Southern Pines, taking over part of the space that will be vacated when Southern Pines Growler Co. moves into its new building.
Southern Pines Brewing Co. is moving an outpost into the other side of the building.
Expect a counter inside for ordering, with seating on the freshly expanded patio. Bianca hopes to expand the menu and offer some items from her native Brazil, but “doesn’t want to reveal too much just yet.”
“We started the truck hoping that in the future we’d have a brick-and-mortar,” says Bianca, who started the business after 12 years in the healthcare industry. Her husband’s job in the military brought them to the area in 2011.
“It was the scariest thing in my life, to step away from healthcare and to this,” she says. “I think what keeps us going is the positivity we get from the community.”
While the new space will serve as Berri Bowlful’s primary home, Bianca hopes to keep the truck on the road as well.
