It’s The Final Countdown

The patio of The Jefferson Inn will officially reopen for the season this Saturday, March 23. Both the inside and outside bars will be open at the same time (weather permitting). The outside bar will be quick service for beer or simple mixes, like Jack and Coke, and fancier cocktails will be served inside. Like before, the tabs will be separate. Unlike before, the patio bar has opted for eco-friendly reusable cups over cheap disposables.

You’ll also notice fewer tables and chairs to allow for more standing (and dancing) room. “I know it looks a little different, but we’re thrilled with how much people have enjoyed the inside bar so far and having a slightly more elevated experience,” says general manager Jesse Tutor. He hopes new landscaping will add fun pops of color through different seasons.

OK, but what about the music? The beat goes on — with an updated sound system. In addition to Tuesday evening acts, you can now catch live music Friday and Saturday evenings. “There will be a pretty eclectic mix of music,” says Jesse.

Every fourth Saturday, DJ Logan King will play disco and funk music for Locals at the Lounge, an event in partnership with Locals Only Sandhills. “I want to bring in more of a dance scene,” says Jesse. A $5 cover collected for Locals at the Lounge will be donated to local charities.

The patio will be open from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 4-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday. The inside bar will be open from 5-10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 5-11:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
