There’s now a self-checkout for the DMV, except now there could be an unexpected parking violation in the bagging area. Just kidding … we think. The North Carolina DMV is launching self-service kiosks at a select few Harris Teeter grocery stores to help shorten wait times at offices. At the kiosks, you can renew driver’s licenses or state ID cards, order a duplicate, change the address on your license or apply or update voter registration. There’s currently one in Raleigh, one in Fayetteville and one in Charlotte, and there are plans to add seven more around the state this year. More on that here.
