As the owner of Sweet Dreams Mattress & More, Keith Moneymaker has donated scores of mattresses to those in need — including more than 300 to victims of Hurricane Matthew in Robeson County.
Keith and his wife, Darla, created the Dreams 4 All Foundation as a way to continue their efforts; and flooding from Florence has led to a similar need in Lumberton as well as Vass and surrounding areas.
“I’d rather donate a bed then sell a $10,000 bed any day,” Keith says. Now, all he needs is an in-house sanitation oven, to make sure donated mattresses are as good as new.
:: Thursday, 5-9 p.m.: Help raise money for Keith’s mission during a block party at Sweet Dreams Mattress. Your $15 ticket lets you start off the night with a 60-minute yoga session by Hot Asana, followed by a free drink from Reverie Cocktails or Southern Pines Brewing Co. The night includes music by Becca Rae; bounce houses for the kids; a silent auction; and food from The Sly Fox, One Nine Drive, Swank and C.Cups. Get tickets here.
