The Sunrise Theater’s annual variety show fundraiser returns with local talent this Saturday. It started 17 years ago as a way to literally raise the theater’s new roof. It has continued under the same name because, well, raising the roof is still cool. Right?
This year’s lineup includes a barbershop quartet, a 90s cover band, a shag-dancing duo, a bluegrass group, a soloist, and an appearance by the Sardine Queen (crowned every year at the Sardine Festival in Aberdeen. Yes, she carries a fishnet). All performers are donating their time to the cause.
The show begins at 7:30. Tickets start at $15.
