Expanding The Bee-ness

This time of year, gardening is all the buzz. After Mercantile Hardware store in Vass closed earlier this year, Midnight Bee Supply owners Erin and Calvin Terry hated the idea of the closest option being big box stores. “Beekeepers are often already growers,” says Erin. “It seemed like a natural transition to provide plants and soils as well.” 

Now, in addition to bee boxes and other beekeeping supplies, the couple is offering seeds, pots, planters, soils and more. Eventually pollinator-friendly flowers will also be available. Longterm, the couple hopes to expand the garden center. Catch sales and giveaways during the grand opening on Friday, April 5, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and grab lunch from King Hot Dog food truck.
