Thanks, It’s Thrifted
Moore County’s first Once Upon a Child is now open. Stop by and sell the 100 newborn cardigans you opened at your baby shower, buy a tiny pair of Crocs or pick up a toddler piano that’ll be the soundtrack to your home’s chaos.
Since establishing the local franchise’s location on April 3, owner Tatiana Cooke has purchased 64,451 gently used baby and children’s items, paying out more than $81,000 to the community. The shop’s shelves and racks were stocked with the help of GStudents, a youth program at Grace Church.
“We’ve had a great response,” Tatiana says. “Everyone is excited to have this asset available, and we’re looking forward to continuing to learn and grow and serve the community.”
The store opened today (Thursday) at 180 Commerce Ave. in Southern Pines, and grand opening festivities continue all weekend. On Saturday, the first 25 people in line get a $10 credit, plus a free book with purchase; on Sunday, the store will offer double reward points.
