In case you’ve been sleeping on Pinehurst patio sitting (not looking at you, PCI porch regulars), the Village Wine Shop is taking over the patio formerly used by Theo’s Taverna and giving it a makeover.
The patio is open while it undergoes a revamp that will include more lounge seating and umbrellas. Now, the shop can be entered through the front doors, or the back patio.
Handyman Johnathan Priddy tells us he’s updating the garden and will be planting lavender beds and grape vines for a Mediterranean aesthetic. Don’t worry — bistro tables will remain on the front sidewalk, so you can watch the golf carts skkkrt on by.
In addition to the added patio space, co-owner Mary Schlaff says the shop is also planning to expand its original business model and do more private events such as birthday parties, bridal showers, dinners and “a lot more live music.”
