The Village Wine Shop in Pinehurst is now open again after undergoing a series of cosmetic and business changes, including a transfer of ownership to Pinehurst native Kea Capel and the addition of a coffee bar.
The coffee bar offers everything from regular drip brews to lattés, espresso and more. Kea says coffee bar manager Mary Schlaff has plans to bring in pastry items from local bakers.
And as for the wine? From fine Italian selections to California reds, there’s plenty of it.
“We all have access to wine, but we want to give people an elevated experience,” Kea says. “Starting with coffee in the morning and finishing with wine.”
The space also features a tasting room that’s available to rent as a party room after hours.
The Village Wine Shop is located at 80 Magnolia Road, and they’re open Sunday through Wednesday from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., and 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. 18
