No Ifs, Ands or Putts
In case you’ve somehow missed hundreds of social media posts: Wee Pines at Olmsted Village is open at last. Find it at 265 Central Park Ave., Pinehurst.
It’s been a long time coming,” Nicole Dunstan, marketing director for Olmsted Village Company, said back in January. “We can’t believe that we didn’t have a mini golf here already, and we’re excited that Olmsted Village gets to be the one to bring it to the area.”
TALK BIRDIE TO ME:
- There are two courses to play, Bullseye and Calamity Jane. The scorecard for each comes with a little history behind the name.
- Each course is $16 per adult or $14 for children 12 and under; kids 4 and younger play for free with a paying adult. Groups of 10 or more get $2 off per player.
- One of the courses has additional accessibility features. The clubhouse can also lend an attachment for the end of your golf club that allows you to pick up the ball without bending over.
- No, you can’t reserve a tee time for your typical foursome, but Wee Pines is working on way for groups of 10 or more to make reservations.
- Take a swing every day from noon to 8 p.m. The last admission is sold at 6:45 p.m.
