It happens to the best of us. After a national uproar over Confederate monuments occurred last week, Moore County Schools started receiving calls about the Robert E. Lee Auditorium located at Pinecrest High School. The auditorium was not named for the confederate general but for the former Moore County Schools Superintendent Robert E. Lee, who led the school district through voluntary desegregation in the 1960’s. As it turns out, Moore County’s Robert E. Lee was all kinds of awesome.
