To Market, To Market
To buy a phat couch. The Design Market is making it easier than ever to compensate for our scary decorating skills with a new location near the Moore County Airport.
The new space will serve as a satellite location for the market’s 40,000-square-foot space on N.C. 5 in Aberdeen, which features new, used and handcrafted furniture and housewares from more than 30 vendors, plus studios for local artists.
It will be located in the strip mall near the airport traffic circle that’s in Southern Pines, Whispering Pines or Carthage, depending on who or what you’re asking.
“We are closer to Whispering Pines where so many military families and retired people are located,” says owner Kathryn King. “Many of them have a great eye for global styles because they have traveled, so I want to bring a variety of well-made new and old pieces over there.”
- The satellite location is expected to open this fall. In the meantime, do some window shopping on FB.
