Thursday, July 3, 2 p.m. until: Find the Aberdeen Carolina & Western Railway’s Engine Room ’87 locomotive parked in front of Pinehurst No. 2 for a prime viewing spot of the Village of Pinehurst’s fireworks. A cover charge of $10 starts at 8 p.m., fireworks launch around 9:15 p.m. Rooftop, can’t stop.
Thursday, July 3, 6 p.m.: Kick off festivities a day early with the Village of Pinehurst. Enjoy a free concert, kids activities and fireworks. Feel Yankee Doodle Dandy.
Thursday, July 3, 5 p.m.: Pinehurst Resort goes country at its annual Freedom Fest, headlined by platinum-streaming artist Chris Lane. Chris has been featured on The Tonight Show, Late Night with Seth Meyers and more, and has toured with Florida Georgia Line, Brad Paisley and others. Tickets also include a DJ, a kids zone, a performance from local talent Julia Golden and a choice view of the Village of Pinehurst’s fireworks show. Upgrade your ticket for a meet-and-greet. Thursday and Friday, July 3-4, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Shop Hazel + Grace’s Independence Day sale. There will be $10, $25 and $50 racks, plus a free gift for the first 25 customers with a purchase. You had us at sale.
Friday, July 4, 9:45 a.m.: Relish the opportunity to secure your hot dog’s moment in the spotlight during the Village of Pinehurst’s annual Pet Parade. Everything from poodles to parakeets can join in at 9:45 a.m.; beauty queens and golf carts take the street for the classic parade at 10 a.m. Red, white and woof.
Friday, July 4, 10 a.m.: Kids ages 3-5 and an adult can join Friends of Weymouth Woods for patriotic playtime. Read a book, play games and do a craft. U.S. of yay.

Friday, July 4, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.: Red’s Corner lets freedom ring with $4 drafts, themed froseccos, and live music from 4-6 p.m. Red, white and brews.
Friday, July 4, 1-10 p.m.: John Teal performs at Railhouse Brewery’s annual 4th of July jam, which also features beer specials and hot dogs topped with house-made kimchi. The parking lot is a great place to view fireworks, and tailgating is encouraged. It’ll be bangin.
Friday, July 4, 2-3 p.m.: The Moore County Concert Band presents its “Music Across America” concert at Emmanuel Episcopal Church. See the program.
Friday, July 4, 5 p.m. until: Make it a loco Fourth of July in downtown Aberdeen with Aberdeen Carolina & Western Railway’s Engine Room ’87. You’ll want to secure your rooftop seat for the firework show. A cover charge starts at 8 p.m. and the train moves to a better viewing spot at 8:30 p.m. Best seat in the house.
Friday, July 4, 5-10 p.m.: Party at Aberdeen Lake Park with an evening of live entertainment, food vendors, a kids zone including bounce houses, fireworks and more. Pets, alcoholic beverages, personal fireworks, and coolers are not allowed. Red, white and woohoo.

Sunday, July 6, 2 p.m.: See an indoor presentation at Weymouth Woods on the early colonial history of North Carolina, and what the area would have looked like during the Revolutionary War era. Let freedom ring.
Sunday, July 6, 7:30 p.m.: The Sandhills Bogeys celebrate the 4th of July with fireworks after their home game at Sandhills Community College. Take me out to the ball game.
