Construction progress on Moore County’s first distillery is whisk(ey)ing us off our feet. If you haven’t been keeping up, BHAWK — Brad Halling American Whiskey Ko. — broke ground in November on Yadkin Road in Southern Pines.
Owners Brad and Jessica Halling hosted a tour of the under-construction space today (Thursday). They are expecting the copper still to arrive in August.
BHAWK will feature a cocktail bar, a shop for bottles and merch, event space, barrel rooms, a VIP lounge and a founders’ hall. The most important room to the Hallings will be The Gratitude Room, a museum to honor military service. “We want this space to be a greater representation of the community that’s here,” says Jessica.
