Friday: Start your evening with some art and celebrate the opening of Art of the Tattoo Exhibit at The Campbell House in Southern Pines. Food trucks, beer, fun, games, and temporary tattoos will be available, of course.
Then, head over to the First Bank Stage for First Friday. The Ben Miller Band performs until 8:15 p.m. Military Moms Truck and Stacks Cheddar Truck will be on site for noms (if you didn’t get your fix at The Campbell House). Both of the events take place at the same time but are equally worth checking out.
Saturday + Sunday: Grab your kiddo and head to the Splash Pad in the Village of Pinehurst to soak up some last minute fun before it closes for the season on Tuesday. Or, relax and rest up because there are surprisingly not a zillion events going on this weekend. Take a break from that restless social scene. You deserve it.
Monday: Celebrate the unofficial last day of summer with the kids at the Pinehurst Resort’s Water Park Bash. There will be water slides and live music from 3-7 p.m. Tickets are $7.50 for kids and $15 for adults and come with a plate of food for the appetite you’ll work up from chasing your kid around.
Considering heading out of town? With gas prices on the rise due to the hurricane, you might want to stay indoors.
