On Sept. 7, UNC-TV, Sandhills Community College and The Pilot will be hosting an exclusive screening of the documentary series, “The Vietnam War” from directors Ken Burns and Lynn Novick at Sandhills Community College at 7 p.m. in the Owen’s Auditorium. A panel with veterans who served in the last years of the Vietnam War will address military leadership and its role in Vietnam following the screening. The best thing is, attendees will get a first look at segments taken from the full 10 episode series before it airs on PBS starting on Sept. 17. Perfect for the history buff in your family.
