Monday, Nov. 12: Celebrate those who’ve fought to keep America safe by taking the scenic route during the Sandhills Farmlife Veteran 5k Honor Run, or show your support with a 1-mile sprint. The event puts the spotlight on area veterans, while raising money for the school’s PTA. If you’re super competitive, you’ll get the chance to take on preteens who finish in less than 20 minutes. If you only do these things for the T-shirt, just be sure to sign up by Oct. 24.
