Real or Cake?

Meet Jessica Sipe, a home baker who is all about bringing magic to cupcakes with her new business The Enchanted Cupcake by Jessica Shea. Her specialty is creating lifelike flowers out of buttercream frosting. She and her husband just moved to Sanford this past summer and that’s when she decided to take her creative outlet and turn it into something to share.

In the same vein as flowers, “I want people to think of them like giving a gift,” Jessica says. Orders come boxed or wrapped like a bouquet. Cupcakes currently come in chocolate and vanilla flavors, and she plans to add a lemon in the spring.

For now, her plans are to stay small with orders automatically cutting off at a certain number each day. That means for birthdays, holidays, anniversaries and more you should get your orders in sooner rather than later. “I want it to be about joy both for me and my customers,” she says. Choose from a variety of seasonal designs, order online and receive pickup instructions.
