The most patriotic beer you’ll find is back for a second year. ‘Merican Independence Ale is a citrusy sour IPA at 6.8% ABV, a collaboration from the veteran-owned Hatchet Brewing Co., Southern Pines Brewing Co. and Railhouse Brewery. Last year, it even won the gold cup in the sour IPA category at the NC Brewers’ Cup.
“My favorite part of the process is everyone gets to win,” says Greg Walker, owner of Hatchet Brewing Co. “This beer and the collaboration highlights the community focus that we all have. We definitely want to do it each year.” You can find this limited release beer in 4-packs at Hatchet Brewing Co., Southern Pines Brewing Co., and Railhouse Brewery.
