A Broad New Space

Saturday, Oct. 25: Love Rose boutique reopens in its new spot on Broad Street. The new location, formerly home to Monkee’s of the Pines, brings Love Rose more visibility — and more space for a more diverse inventory. Now Love Rose will carry Seagrove Candles as well as more sneakers, cosmetic bags, purses and an overall larger selection of accessories. “We were so worried we weren’t going to fill the space but we’re overflowing now,” says Owner Mclendyn Weathersby.

Sneak Peeks

The boutique owner is also able to plan for upcoming seasons much easier now that she has storage space in the new location. Other changes include two dressing rooms instead of one, meaning you and your friend can have a full early 2000s fashion montage, if you’re into that.

Artist Eve Von Bleyle painted the mural in Love Rose boutique’s first location and now she is working on the new location.

Mclendyn says cheetah, leather and sweat sets are hot this year so she’s excited to get shoppers in the door. Customers will still find a selection of western-inspired boots and clothing as well as other trendy items and permanent jewelry. “The coming months are already the busiest time for us, so I’m nervous but I know it’ll be so rewarding,” she says.

The grand opening will have giveaways, treats and more from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Shop it like it’s hot.
