A Smashing Good Time

Piñatas of the Pines is keeping nostalgic birthday fun alive with custom paper mâché designs. Brandi Bainbridge made her first piñata nine years ago for her daughter’s birthday party after seeing inspiration on Pinterest. “Everyone loved it, it was the hit of the party,” she says.

The former preschool teacher has made one for each birthday for her son and daughter since, and can make them for all holidays, in all sizes. Piñatas are multitaskers, she says. “First it serves as decoration, then it’s a fun activity and whatever you fill them with can be party favors.”

Brandi makes every piñata from scratch. We can’t imagine knowing someone will smash hours of our hard work apart, but she embraces the fun of it. Brandi wants to expand her offerings to pull-string piñatas, and hopes to start having a presence at local pop-up events.

Pricing varies depending on size and detail, and they come unfilled. She recommends ordering a few weeks in advance so she has time to perfect and personalize your ‘yata. See more of her work here.
