Brew and Thru
Rain drop, drop top, here comes Drip Drop Coffee Shop. In a few months, there will be a locally owned drive-thru coffee shop on U.S. 1, brought to you by Suda and John McNeill. Suda is an ICU nurse and was one of the first baristas at Pony Espresso, where she worked on and off for a decade. Drip Drop will be located near Looking for Linda and A Bit Used, but you won’t see much construction in the coming months because the building is a modified tiny home that will be dropped into place via crane.

Once it’s open, the shop will offer everything from drip coffee to specialty lattes, smoothies and blended drinks. And, to set Drip Drop Coffee Shop apart, you’ll have the option to add in extras like protein powder or collagen. Suda also plans to have sourdough pastries from Dough and Thread.
As of now, Suda plans to be open 7 days a week, with early hours for commuters. “In my experience, there’s nowhere to get good coffee really early,” she says. “There’s nothing until you get to Southern Pines or Sanford that has a drive thru.”
