Now Where Am I Gonna Get My Snake Oil?

The owner of Moore County’s most popular and only roadside attraction is looking to pass the torch to someone else with a love for huge weird sculptures, handwoven baskets, novelty hot sauce and ice cream. The 1.45-acre parcel is listed for $1.25M by Keller Williams Pinehurst.

What’s happening? Patrick Milcendeau has been living out his dream as a country store owner for 13 years, but he’s 72 and ready to travel somewhere other than up and down U.S. 1.

What about the attached exotic animal sanctuary you may or may not have known about? It’s already closed. Dunrovin held a Class C License under the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and sanctuary manager Jacob Seebode said the USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service agents helped find appropriate new homes.

Though the goal is to leave some inventory for the next owner, the store’s collection of quirky oversized decor is up for grabs — so if you ever wanted to frame your driveway with a giant metal chicken and a concrete lion, now’s your chance.
